Piranha Bar is an independently owned, artist-led creative studio that loves big ideas and nice people. We are at the forefront of a new wave of interdisciplinary practice.

We represent a diverse range of world-class, commercial film and animation directors. Our studio creates award-winning animation, motion design and VFX. Our full-service Broadcast facility cuts and finishes the biggest global formats and documentaries and in Originals we dream up the content that we wished existed.

We explore lateral solutions, using next generation technology and bespoke tools. Located in a Georgian townhouse in the center of Dublin, our team collaborates with our network of established and emerging global talent.

Richard Chaney

Partner - Creative Head of Studio

Richard leads the studio—inspiring our multidisciplinary team, scouting emerging global talent and driving exploration of cutting edge technology. With his years of insight working with creatives, he translates studio briefs and collaborates with clients to produce award winning work.

Richard also develops original IP and builds creative partnerships with global brands. He has collaborated with some of the world’s leading names, including Juventus Football Club, Takara Tomy, Heineken, Three Mobile, Virgin Media, and Citroën.

Richard once designed Ireland’s first circular stamp.
